Often in life complications arise that are just too large to be taken on alone. The new Nashville counseling service, Two Trees Counseling, has positioned themselves as a valued resource for individuals and couples seeking meaningful solutions to some of life’s larger, more unique challenges.

My true reward comes when I am able to help individuals realize that there is so much more to life than what they are experiencing.

A kind word, an open ear and a close confidant are always excellent tools to have at ones disposal when trying to overcome the many obstacles and adversity that life throws in our paths. In this same spirit, Chris Roberts of Two Trees Counseling believes that no one should have to struggle against life’s many challenges alone. Following along with his lifelong passion to help people move forward with full and productive lives, Roberts established Two Trees Counseling to offer added support to those individuals and couples willing to seek help.

“At the most basic level I genuinely enjoy working with people,” stated Roberts. “My true reward comes when I am able to help individuals realize that there is so much more to life than what they are experiencing. There is the potential within all of us to overcome adversity. Sometimes we have to go through a few layers to uncover that hidden potential, but once it is realized you can begin to transform your life for the better.”

Roberts has been working with individuals and families since 2004, but has just recently began providing counseling services in greater Nashville. Two Trees Counseling offers a wide range of professional counseling options for clients of all kinds, including individuals, couples, married couples and premarital counseling. He describes his therapeutic approach as a process that requires complete immersion for the patient and a willingness to step out from comfort zones. Counseling services are available any time through phone, email and one-on-one meetings. Roberts is also available weekends and evening.

In 2009 Roberts received an M.A. in Counseling/Psychology from the Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. He employs a collaborative approach to treatment emphasizing relational, existential, cognitive-behavioral and analytical logic as it applies on a unique individual basis. This method is used to help people work through and eventually overcome a number of issues such as anger, anxiety and depression. Roberts’ practice also focuses heavily on investigating and assisting people struggling with many of the difficult dynamics that are inevitable in relationships.
