Total Air & Heat in Dallas is explaining the process of redeeming tax credits and manufacturers rebates this spring.

Redeeming tax credits and manufacturers rebates can be confusing. There are offers available now and coming soon that can save consumers a significant amount of money. Total Air & Heat Company wants to make sure all of their customers who qualify are taking advantage of these money-saving measures as soon as they are available. As Dallas’s predominant HVAC company, Total Air & Heat has the experience and knowledge to walk customers through the process.

For customers who are currently purchasing or are looking to purchase a new HVAC system, manufacturers’ rebates can be incredibly helpful. Total Air & Heat will be offering and honoring instant rebates when applicable. Most rebates will be starting on March 1 and will run through June 15. The rebates are redeemed instantly in some cases or via mail after online submission. The manufacturers’ rebates could offer as much as $1250 back. There are also financing offers for 0% interest for up to 60 months or 5.9% interest for lower payments, as low as $150 a month. They will be helping customers by filling out and submitting any send-in rebates and providing them with files to keep on hand.

There is a tax credit available for specific HVAC equipment that Total Air & Heat can also help customers with. The American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012 does not expire until December 31, 2013. The credit covers any equipment over 16 SEER and 13 EER for air conditioners, 95% for furnaces, and 15 SEER and 12.5 EER for heat pumps. Variable speed indoor blowers qualify as well. Geothermal and solar equipment qualifies above and beyond these standards. Customers can receive up to $500 for traditional systems and 30% on geothermal and solar, which could be as much as $9000 back per system. Total Air and Heat will provide an efficiency certificate showing qualification at time of final homeowner walkthrough and customer education session. The customer can keep the certificate on file and is redeemed when filing 2013 year end taxes.
