Sensei Project Solutions and Project Hosts to Highlight New Microsoft Project 2013 Release and Hosted Cloud Options for Project and Portfolio Customers at half-day Seminar

Today, Sensei Project Solutions, specialists in successful project and portfolio management (PPM) solutions, and Project Hosts, the recognized leader in custom cloud hosting of Microsoft PPM, CRM and SharePoint solutions, announced they will be hosting two, one-half day seminars in March to highlight Microsoft’s latest Project and Portfolio Management release (Microsoft Project 2013), and the “in the cloud” choices that customers now have to accelerate their deployments. The seminars will be held on March 5th in Reston, Virginia, and on March 7th in Malvern, PA, just outside Philadelphia at the Microsoft campus; click on dates to register for these events.

Kenneth Steiness, Managing Partner & VP of Delivery for Sensei Project Solutions will provide attendees with a basic introduction to Microsoft Project 2013 – the latest release of the leading Project and Portfolio Management solution on the market today. “Project 2013 enables customers to define and select project portfolios that align with your business strategy by prioritizing competing requests, running optimization scenarios under varying budgetary constraints, and maximizing resource utilization to manage capacity. All of this can be done while providing the core project scheduling and collaboration capability for successful project execution,” said Kenneth. Some of the new features in Microsoft Project 2013 and Project Server 2013 include: Visual tiles; OneNote integration; SharePoint Newsfeed Hub; tasks on mobile devices; out-of-the-box reporting; Timeline in PWA and more.

The seminars will also highlight the three options that customers now have when considering a cloud-based deployment of Project 2013 and Project Server 2013. Scott Chapman, CEO and co-founder of Project Hosts will share knowledge gained over a decade of project hosting and highlight the three cloud choices that customers now have for hosted Microsoft Project 2013: Microsoft Project Online, Project Hosts’ Custom Cloud, and customer-based Private Clouds. Scott will summarize the business and technical differences between these three Project 2013 cloud choices, and the considerations which should be taken when selecting a PPM Cloud for your business.

Sensei Project Solutions is using PPM Clouds, including Project Hosts’ PPM Custom Cloud, to support all of their client service offerings: consulting practice, training services, and products & solutions. During consultative phases, PPM cloud-services can be used to define up-front requirements from general design through configuration and on-going support. For training services, PPM cloud-services can help with client and deployment-specific or role-based training. PPM cloud-services can also easily accommodate the vast library of reusable, pre-configured solutions and report packs that have been built by Sensei from years of real world experience enabling them to deliver more services in far less time.

Project Hosts’ “PPM Custom Cloud” solutions deliver all benefits of a standard cloud solution, such as Microsoft’s new Project Online, with the added advantage of providing additional customizations to fit a customer’s specific business and technology needs. With a PPM Custom Cloud, customers can get the same level of customization as an on-premise Private Cloud but without all of the added IT expense and effort. Like Private Clouds, Custom Clouds can support a dedicated solutions architecture, 3rd party applications and custom code, specific security requirements, and real-time customized reporting. Project Hosts Custom Cloud solutions are also backed by a 99.9% uptime guarantee, flexible business terms and Person-to-Person support with published response times.
