She says no experience is too small or grand, or too positive or negative to become a cathartic record, and “Scarlet Flow” is a reflection of her perspective of the beauty of life.

In her new book “Scarlet Flow” (published by Trafford Publishing), author Elizabeth Clayton looks back at her life from a literary and psychological perspective, offering readers a raw, open glimpse into her experiences and beliefs.
A collection of a decade of Clayton’s thoughts in verse, “Scarlet Flow” is a celebration of the value of beauty. She writes from the perspective that circumstances and memories, whether painful or pleasant, flow into each other to give everyone the wisdom necessary to sustain a healthy self. She says no experience is too small or grand, or too positive or negative to become a cathartic record, and “Scarlet Flow” is a reflection of her perspective of the beauty of life.
An excerpt from “Scarlet Flow”:
These creatures then, these toys,
Are the constellation of those moments
I have hollowed out my soul,
My windows, my pews
Clayton says “Scarlet Flow,” while a record of her experiences in verse, touches on themes that exist in everyone. “‘Scarlet Flow’ reviews all categories of loss,” she says, “something of importance to all who feel deeply this matter of living and dying.”
