Johnny Ishmel Henry, author of The Adventures of Astro-Kid & Space dog Leroy and Success: The Inner Treasures of Life, and one-time “Poet of the Year” Awardee, publishes his latest book, titled Diversity vs. Racism: A Challenge To Mankind. Henry’s book has a two-fold mission: to present negative effects of bias thinking, and to enlighten people about the challenges and benefits of diversity. To achieve this, Henry brings his ideas to the forefront in an upcoming major Book Fair.
“Monumental changes in our thinking, way of life, has definitely given us hope to accept diversity as the key to the survival of mankind, population growth,” declares Henry. “The increase in interracial marriages has definitely brought changes in how we perceive one another, jobs, income levels, education, and home ownership have been great indicators of racial diversity or disparity in our country, the United States of America.”
Henry’s work is a most revealing book on deleterious effects of racism on America and throughout the world. It brings to the forefront the cancer of racism that exists within the depths of American society from the white house to the outhouse. It explains the negative effects of bias thinking at all levels of society.
On the other hand, Henry’s work also shows how diversity has enlightened people with the knowledge to eradicate racism. Foremost among his example is the November 2008 presidential election. For Henry, it has shown how much America has grown as a country and accepted the challenge of diversity.
Broadly insightful, optimistic and patriotic, Diversity vs. Racism: A Challenge To Mankind offers an understanding of diversity in creation, character, leadership, culture, spirituality, personality and poverty. It is a valuable gift to the American people especially after the 57th presidential election, to usher in a brighter future.
This book will be featured at the 2013 Association of College and Research Libraries Book Exhibit in Indianapolis, Ind. on March 10 – 11, 2013.
