iWasRight, a free iPhone application that allows users to predict the outcome of events, launched in time for users to make predictions about this year’s Academy Awards. The application, available now on the iTunes store, is fun and easy to use.

Users can “Make Claims” based on world events (Example: The 49ers are going to win the 2014 Superbowl!) or personal events (Example: Jamie is going to be late for our dinner). Your claim will then be stored and time stamped. Users can then go back and view their claims complete with the date and times they were made.

Completed claims can be posted on Facebook for the purposes of gloating. The Facebook post will also include the original date and time the post was made. Alternatively, user can share claims with only a select group of friends.

As users publish more claims, they rise through the ranks from “Wise-Guy” to “Talking Head” to “All Knowing Genius”.

iWasRight was created by two twins, Adam and Elliot Swart, who were fed up with constant arguments over who was right.

iWasRight Co-Founder Adam Swart had the following to say about the launch of the application:

“This application was created with the needs of the compulsive ‘know-it-all’ in mind. Now, all predictions about future events can be put into evidence and brought out at just the right time. No need to say ‘I knew you guys weren’t going to work as a couple’ or ‘I knew Argo was going to win’, now you can prove your claims. I urge all ‘know-it-alls’ as well as those who fancy themselves as ‘know-it-alls’ to go to the iTunes store and download the iWasRight application. This app may change your life.”
