Gregory Graham and his wife, Luciana Lagana, will be performing on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at 7:30 pm in the Main Room of the Comedy Store in Hollywood, California. Tickets are available on the Comedy Store website or by phone (323-650-6268). Tickets are also available at the box office during show times while supplies last.

For the past 40 years, some of the biggest names in comedy have been featured at this family business, from Robin Williams to Richard Pryor, Jim Carrey, and Chris Rock. This venue is recognized as an icon and leader in the world of American comedy. “It is a great honor to be invited to perform in the Main Room of the Comedy Store,” said Luciana.

Indeed, comedians call the location where Luciana, Gregory, and a small group of other improv actors will perform together ‘the hardest room in the country,’ while audience members call it ‘the best.’ “At times new talent is invited to perform at the Comedy Store, in the hope of ‘making a splash’ and receiving recognition as a new face in the entertainment business,” Gregory added.

How did this couple get invited to perform at the Comedy Store? “We are members of the L.A. Connection Comedy Theater, so we get invited to perform at the Comedy Store as part of an improv ensemble on a regular basis,” Luciana explained. “As we rehearse and perform at the L.A. Connection regularly, we have the opportunity to have fun and blow off steam after a hard day at work,” Gregory pointed out.

“The L.A. Connection was established in the late 70s to inspire and develop talent of all ages via rehearsals and live performances. We have found a safe environment of support, growth, and freedom, which is allowing us to showcase our individual comedic talent in a group dynamic,” Gregory added. “In the past, we have been part of other improv groups. This venue is different in that it brings together several generations, and an ageist atmosphere that can be noticeable in other acting groups (which are geared mainly towards actors in their 20s and early 30s) is just not present. Instead, it is fun to perform regularly with very young talent and also with actors who are older than we are. We all contribute to the final goal, which is to entertain the audience and have fun in the process,” Luciana concluded.
