Briggs Equipment One of Top Private Companies for Leaders

Briggs Equipment, the largest distributor of industrial equipment in North America, is proud to announce it has been ranked fourth on Chief Executive magazine’s 2013 “Best Private Companies for Leaders” list.

The annual list is based on a survey of more than 1,000 leading organizations worldwide. It identifies top global companies that utilize best practices in leadership development and succession planning.

Companies were scored on five criteria: Having a formal leadership process in place; the commitment level of the CEO to the leadership development program; the depth of the leadership funnel; the number of other companies that report recruiting from the company being evaluated, and; a shareholder value performance metrics based on 10-year growth or decline in market capitalization.
