Dan Shea brings more than 20 years of experience to Marketing role

Philadelphia Insurance Companies (PHLY), a leading property and casualty insurance company for niche markets, announces the promotion of Dan Shea to Senior Vice President of Marketing for PHLY’s Eastern Territory.

For the last eight years, Mr. Shea has served as Regional Vice President of PHLY’s Northeast Region. He takes over for Brian O’Reilly who was recently promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. Mr. Shea started with PHLY as a Production Underwriter and is now in his 24th year with the Company. He has been instrumental in helping to grow the Company’s Northeast Region to over $350 million in business. He previously served as Regional Manager and Assistant Vice President before being promoted to Regional Vice President in 2006.

Mr. Shea will continue to work out of East Hartford, CT. There are 24 states that make up PHLY’s Eastern Territory which stretches from Massachusetts to Florida, and as far west as Louisiana.

Mr. Shea studied Political Science at Central Connecticut State and holds a CIC designation. He is actively involved with the Rectory School (Pomfert, CT) and the Manchester (CT) Road Race.
