On February 26, in response to an article posted on NOLA, Yumi Media offers its praise to the expansion of vegetarian options throughout the dinning venues in New Orleans.

The NOLA article opens with a description of the Wayfare restaurant of New Orleans which initially would lead most readers to expect a predominately meat-centered restaurant. However, a reference to the menu reveals a serious effort to accommodate the desires of both meat-eaters and vegetarians. Wayfare is identified as one of a number of restaurants that have taken up a sincere effort to diversify their menus' offerings in order to appeal to a broader array of patrons.

Many of these restaurants are emulating efforts (like those of Quorn) to appeal beyond strict vegetarians, menu options are being created to appear appetizing to not only vegetarians, but anyone looking for a great meal. The article claims that many New Orleans restaurants are satisfying patrons of all tastes and dietary preferences.

Some establishments go above and beyond vegetarian-friendliness, going as far as to offer vegan options. The article identifies that choosing to go vegetarian opens the doors to multiple ethnic options, satiating the hunger for variety.

Yumi Media representative Justin Maas offers his approval for the growing proliferation of vegetarian options in the New Orleans dinning scene. “New Orleans will always be renowned as a place to have a good time. I’m excited to think that people will further extend their good times to their dining experience, even if they are dedicated vegetarians or vegans. Looking at these menus' options, it looks easy to entice the most avid carnivores to skip the meat.”

Mass offers an additional comment on how to eat meatless meals without feeling like the meal is incomplete. “Looking over the variety of many restaurants recently, I was reminded of the first time I tried a Quorn product, and the novelty of how it made me feel like I had eaten meat! It was the beginning of my understanding that a meal without meat in it could be 'real,' and satisfying, which made it a great gateway into vegetarianism.”
