Ocius, a leading provider of convergent billing and utility expense management solutions to the apartment industry, today announced it will be demonstrating its My Resident Network℠ advanced mobile app for student housing in booth #615 at the annual NAA Student Housing Conference in Las Vegas February 26-27th.

The My Resident Network mobile app allows students to setup a secure mobile account and pay their portion of rent and other charges directly from their smartphone. Students can also view their current and past statements, see other charges, and receive important messages and reminders from their property manager sent via Ocius My Property Network℠. The system allows multiple parties to pay via mobile device or online, making it easier for parents to provide funding for student housing payments.

The My Resident Network mobile app is one of the features of Ocius’ Convergent Billing service for student housing which provides automatic allocation of rent, utilities, and other charges for each student resident in a shared room. “We’re really excited to support a growing number of student housing clients” said Keith Nelson, chief operating officer for Ocius. “For most student’s, it seems their lives revolve around their mobile phones, so it just makes sense to give property managers new tools to improve collections and stay better connected to their student residents.”
