Corra Group has expanded its services to investigative groups and to law firms. With the ever changing environment creating the need for increased scrutiny, Corra Group offers these segments extended year county records searches, corporate business credit reports, and expanded research for discovering, tax liens, fixtures, and judgments held against a corporation.

"It’s a changing environment out there,” said Gordon Basichis, Corra Group Co-Founder. “The background checks that were not deemed all that necessary, since the Recession, have become essentials. And then with the disturbing social issues on the increase, investigators, in order to get in front of the perpetrators, they must search out his background.

Basichis pointed out that private investigators and law firms cannot rely on the standard seven year background checks. PI’s and law firms, as well as private equity and various financial concerns, need to conduct county criminal records searches and county civil records searches where the researchers can go as far back as possible.

“When our financial, investigative, and legal clients request them, we can retrieve the actual copies of the case file,” said Basichis. “We have seen instances where just a single paragraph or even a sentence or name in the case file, can dramatically change the potential outcome of a court trial.

“In addition, Corra Group can offer comprehensive business credit reports on corporations headquartered both in the United States and throughout the world,” Basichis noted. “We can conduct financial and civil records in many countries. Here in the United States we can retrieve federal, county, and state tax liens, as well as judgments and fixtures, for corporations based in any state in the union. We can also retrieve copies of those records.”

Depicting the Great Recession as a period of dramatic change in the way companies have modified their due diligence and business practices, Basichis noted that prior to the recession, when the economy was strong, businesses played it much looser with their business ventures and money lending practices. Business was good and money was plentiful. No more. Since the Recession, there is a greater need for due diligence at every level.

“Investigators working on a case, attorneys preparing for trial, and equity groups have to look into cases much more thoroughly,” said Basichis. “If it’s financial, then forewarned is definitely forearmed. And for other types of cases, everything from stalkers, to family matters, to the aggrieved and unstable individuals potentially capable of committing mass shootings, those working on such cases need to know everything they can. Corra Group can give them what they need.”
