London, United Kingdom (PRWEB UK) 28 February 2013
Leading strategic management training company Ironclad Strategy has developed a new in-company training course specifically for investment analysts.
The new three-day course, entitled Company and Industry Analysis for Investment Professionals enables analysts to enhance typical financially focused analytical methods with the addition of complex company and industry analysis.
This allows the analyst to gain a greater understanding of both the resources and capabilities of the firm as well as the competitive environment within which it operates. In turn, this improved understanding significantly reduces risk through an awareness that a company is not only financially sound, but is also actually capable of achieving competitive advantage in its chosen sector(s).
Ironclad Strategy’s Managing Director, James Leighton Davis, said, “We designed this course because of a fairly substantial increase in requests for this type of training from the professional investment market. A number of investment firms globally have contacted us to see if we can design a course that would teach their analysts – who are already great at the financial aspects of investment analysis – to really understand the companies and markets they are looking at.
“The course we have designed really enforces the importance of resources to strategic capability, and how even the most financially-sound and best-managed companies can fail in different competitive markets if their capabilities do not enable them to achieve competitive advantage.
“Ultimately, this course allows analysts to make more risk-appropriate recommendations because they will have considered, in depth, the likelihood that a company will be able to succeed in its chosen market, and that the use of its resources is likely to result in an acceptable return on investment.”
Company and Industry Analysis for Investment Professionals is an intensive three-day, in-company programme specifically designed for analysts and managers who wish to gain a greater understanding of the companies they are considering investing in, acquiring, merging or partnering with. The course complements traditional fundamental analysis; the concepts and techniques learned can, if used correctly, significantly reduce investment risk.
This in-company course costs £3,300 for up to 12 participants, and includes all training and course materials. Further information, including how to book, can be found on the Ironclad Strategy website.
A typical programme for the three days is as follows:
DAY ONE
