Adacel [ASX:ADA] announced today that the Company is collaborating with Lockheed Martin on their SkyLine Enterprise™ advanced ATM system. This platform is being offered by Lockheed Martin as its solution for Australia’s Airservices/Department of Defence ‘oneSky Australia’ procurement to combine civil and military air traffic control. Lockheed Martín will showcase key features of Skyline Enterprise at the Australian International Airshow and Aerospace & Defence Exposition (Avalon 2013) Feb. 26 through March 1.

SkyLine Enterprise™ is a comprehensive air traffic management solution that enhances safety, reduces flight delays, saves fuel and reduces environmental impacts. Its components provide a flexible array of air traffic management capabilities that were developed in part with Adacel Technologies Limited, an Australian corporation. The platform’s airspace management tools are supported by a flight data processing system. This enables airlines and other users to fly their preferred routes, enhancing on-time performance and fuel efficiency. Skyline Enterprise also includes a sophisticated tool that searches for situations in an aircraft’s flight path that could cause a delay or pose a danger, even in areas where there is no coverage from surveillance systems, such as radar and automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast systems.

Adacel brings a wealth of experience to the table, including years of collaboration with Lockheed Martin on the very successful FAA Advanced Technologies & Oceanic Procedures (ATOP) program. The Company specializes in advanced ATM functionality for the safe and efficient control of air traffic in oceanic and mixed surveillance /non-surveillance airspaces. Technologies include 4D profile protection, automated conflict detection, dynamic airspace allocation, controller pilot data link communications (CPDLC) and automatic dependent surveillance contract and broadcast (ADS-C and ADS-B). Adacel also supplies advanced simulation systems to both AirServices Australia and the Royal Australian Air Force for training air traffic controllers.

Adacel’s technology is in wide use in airspaces controlled by Fiji, Iceland, New Zealand, Portugal and the United States. In January this year Adacel was awarded a contract by Norway’s Avinor to provide a new ATM system for managing air traffic in the Bodø Oceanic Flight Information Region.
