Andrew Hawley from Vintage Rock Posters, a serious buyer of original 1950's and 1960's fillmore style rock n roll concert posters, announces finding Jimi Hendrix 1968 Philadelphia The Electric Factory concert poster. According to Hawley, "The seller went to the show. He remembers it being dark and the lighting only showing Hendrix’s face and guitar. It was a magical night. The seller meticulously peeled the poster out of a local record shop. He rolled it up and saved it for 40 years. He received $3000 in cash for poster."
Hawley adds, "The Electric Factory Concert Poster was designed by a guy named “Strange” who produced several posters for the venue. The poster was printed locally on thin paperwork work and features very intricate psychedelic work. Hendrix was no stranger to the Philadelphia area as he also played The Arena on Market Street and the now defunct Philadelphia Spectrum which was the home of the Philadelphia Flyers."
The poster is in decent shape but Hawley is looking for a nicer fillmore style 1968 Jimi Hendrix The Electric Factory Concert Poster. He is willing to pay a cash reward for the this poster and other Hendrix concert posters for shows between 1967 and 1970.
