I don’t know how I do it, because it’s not a school, it’s not a book, it’s here [in my heart]. Only God gives me this… For whatever reason, the principal chose me so I feel like it’s an honor.

Charles Clark has faithfully served Trinity High School for over 24 years as head custodian and mentor for students passing the hallways throughout the years. Clark’s service has not gone unnoticed, however.
In January 2013, Clark, who hails from the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, was featured on Sports Stars of Tomorrow as a National Life Group LifeChanger of the Year nominee. With a passion for students, Sports Stars of Tomorrow recognizes the value in praising those who impact students in a significant way. Clark’s own principal, Mike Harris, nominated Clark for the LifeChanger of the Year award and Charles Clark was selected.
Clark’s humility and dedication to Trinity High School students and faculty have earned him a spot as a finalist. “I can honestly say I don’t know no man that I’d want to trade places with, because I feel like I’m the most blessed man in the world,” Clark states. He and two other finalists will be flown to Key Biscayne, Florida for a two-night stay at the Ritz-Carlton. The award ceremony will be held on March 8, 2013, where the grand prize winner will receive a 10,000 dollar cash award from National Life Group.
Nominated by students and colleagues who value his hard work and effort for their school, Clark has gone above and beyond his call of duty. “I don’t know how I do it, because it’s not a school, it’s not a book, it’s here [in my heart]. Only God gives me this… For whatever reason, the principal chose me so I feel like it’s an honor.” With a grateful heart and a willingness to serve, his role in the Trinity High School community reaches students and parents alike.
Sports Stars of Tomorrow highlights students who show impressive talent in their sport, while maintaining their academics and personal endeavors in an honorable manner. In the same sense, educators and school employees who give of themselves to further the character and academics of students are given well-deserved recognition.
National Life Group is a diverse group of financial service companies that has made a successful impact as a product innovator offering personalized service.
