We have always prided ourselves on offering innovative templates and resume advice to our users.

Resume Surgeon, the resume and career expert, has expanded its online communication streams to offer more support to its customers.
Resume Surgeon, a website that specialises in resume advice ( http://www.resume-surgeon.com ) and resume templates, has always had a strong online presence and efficient communication with its users. The site allows members to login, create a resume, upload a picture and choose from a host of resume templates which the user can then send to prospective employers. But to further develop their online presence and increase their customer support the website now offers more online communication via its social networking sites and online chat facility.
Will Martin, Director, explains: “We have always prided ourselves on offering innovative templates and resume advice to our users. But due to the large number of people now using Smartphones and other devices to access content on the move, we realised that the support aspect of the website needed to be enhanced. We have created a large online community through our social media sites including Facebook, Twitter and You Tube. Not only can our customers visit these sites to find out career news and the latest tips but they can also interact with the Resume Surgeon team and receive support on their resume. This has added another communication stream which our customers seem to be enjoying. We realised that our customers need to be able to contact us and to ask career advice via a number of avenues which they can now do. We also have a live chat facility on the website which enables users to chat to a member of staff immediately to solve any queries or issues.”
The live chat facility, launched a few months ago, enables users to click on and communicate with a member of the team instantly via an online web form. Topics covered include queries on their account and resume advice and tips on the entire job hunting process. Users can even ask for advice on how to write their resume while creating it on the site. Will Martin continues: “With the number of people applying for jobs increasing constantly, we know the pressure to stand out and make a resume unique is high. Our users can not only use the templates on the website to create a bespoke resume template but they can also take advantage of our teams’ expertise and knowledge. Some of the team have worked within recruitment and the media for a number of years and so can offer some real unique advice.”
As well as creating templates the Resume Surgeon site also offers links to career videos for users to watch. The videos cover a variety of issues from how to write a career objective to how to follow up a job interview.
As the website grows the team plans to expand their online presence even further.
