"This unique opportunity allows me to meet with, and hopefully inspire an entirely new group of amazingly talented minds"

“The Disque Foundation was created to inspire others to live inspired lives.” In a time of unfulfilled mission statements, it is refreshing to see a foundation that truly embodies the mission from the top down.

Dr. “Karl” Fritz Disque, Executive Director of the Disque Foundation, and a member of its board of trustees, has sought out ways to inspire others as often as possible. His past efforts have primarily involved his occupation as a physician, taking him to Ethiopia, Haiti and Costa Rica to provide medical aid and inspire others he meets along the way. However, for the second time in the past four months, he was invited to inspire for a different aspect of his life- his entrepreneurial expertise.

On February 22, Dr. Disque presented the keynote address to students and others in attendance at the Regional Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization (CEO) at Bryant University. He also presented in November at the National CEO Conference in Chicago.

“This unique opportunity allows me to meet with, and hopefully inspire an entirely new group of amazingly talented minds,” Disque said. “With such an abundant future, I love the opportunity to meet with these young entrepreneurs and pass off some of the valuable lessons that have helped me over the years.”

In addition to his medical practice, Dr. Disque is a long-time entrepreneur, stretching back to his pre-collegiate days. He is currently the Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer of National Health Care Provider Solutions (NHCPS), an online certification and recertification provider for health care professionals. Disque splits his time between his anesthesiology practice, NHCPS, the Disque Foundation and is still seeking out new opportunities to inspire!

His ability to create and maintain a balance between all three was one of his focal points for his presentation. “I am able to do everything I do because of the great team we have in place. While I love practicing anesthesiology, I also have a passion for entrepreneurship and giving back. Instead of sacrificing one for the other, we were able to build a group that all leverage each other’s strengths so we are able to do all three, and more,” Dr. Disque said. “This is something I hoped to emphasize to all those in attendance. They were there because of their passion for entrepreneurship, but no one makes it alone. Team building early was essential to allowing me to harness my passion.”

Dr. Disque is currently working with NHCPS and the Disque Foundation to spread the reach of their Save a Life Initiative. Through this initiative, all proceeds from NHCPS are donated to furthering the efforts of the Disque Foundation. “The foundation provides health care education to the underserved all over the world, and NHCPS does the same in a different way. By combining their efforts, we are able to provide this vital education to areas that need it most,” Disque said. This initiative has been the primary driver behind both NHCPS and the Disque Foundation, and gave Dr. Disque yet another chance to combine all of his interests into one large-scale movement.
