Allianz Life Promotes Andrew Mattson to Assistant Vice President in Operations

Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America named Andrew Mattson to the role of assistant vice president in the Operations area. In this role, Mattson is responsible for the implementation of a new policy administration system for the company.

Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz Life) named Andrew Mattson to the role of assistant vice president in the Operations area. In this role, Mattson is responsible for the implementation of a new policy administration system for the company. This system will support new business and inforce policy administration and maintenance. Mattson reports to the Senior Vice President of Enterprise Operations Jasmine Jirele.

Prior to his promotion, Mattson was a program manager responsible for the new policy administration system program as it was integrated with other company systems. He led the governance of the administration system installation involving over 200 employees, contractors, and vendors. Before leading the policy administration work in 2010, Mattson was a project and program manager for three years in the variable annuity product innovation area where he managed the overall product development process for the variable annuity product line.

Building his project management experience, Mattson also worked as a project manager for The Willow Group in Bloomington, Minn., Keane, Inc., in Edina, Minn., and NRT Corporation in Edina where he worked as a consultant for various business and IT initiatives with Allianz Life and other companies in the Twin Cities until 2007. Mattson also held roles as a systems analyst and coordinator.

Mattson has a Bachelor of Arts degree in industrial design from the University of Wisconsin-Stout out of Menomonie, Wis. He also holds a Project Management Professional certification.
