"Web marketing automation (WMA) not only allows you to tie all the pieces of your virtual marketplace together, it automates the process of identifying and creating sales ready prospects,” says Storlie.

Storlie believes all sellers can learn to use virtual marketplaces to their advantage, as long as they have the right tools. "It doesn't matter if you build 1 or 100 homes a year. Every builder can become a big fish in the small pond of their local market with a virtual marketplace. Why take on the expense and risk of model homes and commercial locations when you don’t have to?” Storlie says. The overall idea is to engage with potential buyers and build trust before they talk to competitors.
