We needed to reflect the fact we are a licensed behavioral health treatment center, and not just a weight loss facility.

Located in Brentwood, TN, FitRx is a behavioral health treatment center for adults who struggle with eating disorders, behavioral health disorders and obesity. Its mission is to empower and transform the lives of clients while providing education and guidance easily applicable in life after treatment. After two years since its inception, FitRx revamped its website to better reflect its comprehensive program, staff of licensed professionals and new treatment option - a program for clients with eating disorders and co-occurring disorders.

FitRx is a behavioral health treatment center within the American Addiction Centers family, a national behavioral healthcare provider focused on addiction treatment and rehabilitation. To create a new look and feel for the growing facility, Shelly DeMarsilis, Executive Director of FitRx, enlisted the help of American Addiction Centers’ design and marketing team.

“We needed to reflect the fact we are a licensed behavioral health treatment center, and not just a weight loss facility,” DeMarsilis says. “With this new website, we’ll be able to reach even more people. Many clients think they just need to lose weight. Once they’re here, they realize they do have an eating disorder and need treatment. Now that we offer an eating disorder program, we can treat those clients.”

FitRx provides clients with integrated treatment plans for complete wellness and life transformation. Each of its three programs offers behavioral health services, physical wellness, nutritional and medical assessments and more.

Clients benefit from:

  •     Learned portion control
  •     Lowered blood pressure
  •     Basic coping skills
  •     Improved self-esteem
  •     Basic cooking skills
  •     Reduced daily medications

FitRx launched its new site on February 23. February 24 marked National Eating Disorder Awareness Week, dedicated to increasing awareness about eating disorders and body image dissatisfaction. DeMarsilis says, “We timed the launch perfectly, because we want to help promote awareness and spread the word to our friends and followers.”
