Gallant Entertainment Inc., with the support of Yamaha Corporation of America, presents featured halftime performances during select New York Knicks basketball games at Madison Square Garden. Gallant Entertainment resurrected the name of the team’s previous drumline, The New York Sticks, and uses Yamaha marching percussion instruments exclusively.
Based in New York City, Gallant Entertainment builds unique drumline performances for any event. Offering compelling entertainment rooted in the tradition of marching percussion with a contemporary twist, all shows are professionally produced, designed and choreographed. The spectacle is brought to life by some of the best performers in the business.
To create The New York Sticks, Gallant held auditions in the New York metropolitan area. “We were floored by the talent and enthusiasm we encountered,” said Shaun Gallant, Founder and CEO of Gallant Entertainment. “We have selected a group of amazing, high energy marching percussionists who are sure to get Knicks fans on their feet.”
Gallant Entertainment’s drumlines represent the leading edge of the marching arts, combining traditional styles with the latest music and performance technology.
“Our performers supplement exceptional drumline technique with dynamic, high tech enhancements, including interactive LED lighting systems, that are controlled by the rhythm of the drums,” says Gallant.
Gallant Entertainment has also pioneered the use of internal microphone systems for marching percussion, which enables them to create an optimal sound mix in a variety of venues, including the largest stadiums and arenas.
“Yamaha congratulates Gallant Entertainment as they bring their unique showcase to an exciting new venture,” says Roger Eaton, Director of Marketing, Yamaha Band & Orchestral Division. “Yamaha is committed to matching the exceptional level of professionalism, talent and creativity that Gallant Entertainment displays with our outstanding products and technical support.”
Last year, Gallant Entertainment broke into the world of professional football, providing the first-ever drumline during select New York Giants home games at MetLife Stadium. Beyond professional sporting engagements, the company uses its innovative performance model to punch up television commercials, corporate events and motivational seminars with high-energy performances full of excitement, fervor and frenzy. Gallant Entertainment additionally produces custom experiences for events, conventions and sales meetings that motivate and inspire teams to reach the next level.
