The President of ABC Home & Commercial Services, Bobby Jenkins, and employees of the company’s Austin branch will be handing out 5,000 kites free of charge at this year’s ABC Zilker Park Kite Festival, one of Austin’s most well-known annual events. The festival will take place this Sunday, March 3rd, from 10am to 5 pm.

The Zilker Park Kite festival is the longest continuously running kite festival in the United States. It was started by The Exchange Club of Austin in 1929 in order to promote creativity in children. Proceeds generated at the event will be donated to local non-profits working to prevent child abuse.

Admittance to the festival is free and people of all ages are invited to partake. Participants can create their own kite, compete in various contests throughout the day and visit the many food vendors who are taking part. ABC Home & Commercial Services, a title sponsor of the event, urges Austin residents to participate or donate to the cause.
