Secular trends support significant hedge fund industry growth. Research suggests that smaller and younger hedge firms generate the highest returns. Talent looking for seed/acceleration capital is better than it has been in a very long time.
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) February 28, 2013
Eli Kent of Harvest Funds Management headlined the Ivy Family Office Network San Francisco Forum with a discussion on “Emerging Alpha Strategies“. The Forum was held on February 26th in San Francisco, CA
According to Mr. Kent, “ Secular trends support significant hedge fund industry growth. Research suggests that smaller and younger hedge firms generate the highest returns. Talent looking for seed/acceleration capital is better than it has been in a very long time. “
Moreover, “We like strategies that show strong downside risk protection and operational capability. Strategic investors are in a strong position to negotiate beneficial terms such as equity, revenue share, transparency, and enhanced liquidity. Our focus is on capturing the underlying investment performance of carefully selected strategies and providing investors with exposure to a diversified group of emerging hedge firms at the most advantageous time in their life cycles with a comprehensive program to manage risk.”
Other panel participants were: Oren Shiran of QM Capital, Renan Lachman of Greencrest Capital Management and Les Allan of The Los Angeles Investment Company.
