BlueVolt (http://www.BlueVolt.com), the leading provider of online Learning Management Systems (LMS) for the construction, manufacturing and service industries, has launched an online University for Leviton. Leviton, the number one brand preference for electrical wiring services by builders, electrical contractors and other industry professionals, partnered with BlueVolt to deploy its latest training initiative, a custom LMS called Leviton University.

The new LMS is an extension of Leviton’s existing ez-Learn™ training portal and the latest initiative in the company’s 10-year-old training program – part of the company’s commitment to delivering world-class customer service and technical support for distributors and electricians around the world.

Designed to educate users on Leviton’s portfolio of more than 26,000 electrical products, Leviton University currently features 23 courses covering a wide range of educational and training topics intended for its vast network of employees, contractors, distributors, end users, builders, sales force and marketing personnel. Current course offerings include: “Fiber Optics 101,” “Essentials of Lighting Control,” “Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment,” and “Energy Management.” These courses are open to the public and free to anyone in the electrical industry who wants to increase their knowledge on electrical wiring products and best practices.

“We created Leviton University to provide value to professionals in our industry through a wide range of training courses free to anyone who wants to learn about our electrical products. We have invested considerably in time, resources, subject matter experts and graphic arts teams to make these learning modules the best in the industry,” said Peter Kleinman, director of distribution marketing for Leviton. “We chose BlueVolt as a valuable and mission-critical partner to support and expand the audience for this training platform.”

According to Kleinman, Leviton University is in the development stage of integration with external platforms. “Our vision for Leviton University is to be platform agnostic, with open availability and easy porting to all such applications and technologies.”

“Leviton recognized the need to train electrical industry professionals, both internally and externally, on essential business capabilities, from development to logistics. The Leviton University not only makes customers and employees aware of new product offerings, but also gives them a high level of comfort and knowledge on the operation, programming, troubleshooting, and selling of solutions applicable to our solutions.”
