Taylor Lockwood & Ben Agosto

The guiding principal behind our campaign is embodied in our motto: “Your Dreams, Our Goals.”

Tampa, FL (PRWEB) February 28, 2013

Taylor Lockwood and Ben Agosto are running for Student Body President and Vice President at the University of South Florida; election voting concludes at 8PM on February 28th. The candidates believe that for too long Student Government administrations have been making too many of the decisions for the students. They believe that the decisions should be made by the students themselves.

The candidates want to allow the more than 40,000 students on campus to be the guiding force for the future of the University of South Florida, and they see themselves as the metaphorical hands of the students. Lockwood and Agosto will ensure that all the voices of the students are heard and that their ideas are acted upon.

Taylor says, "the guiding principal behind our campaign is embodied in our motto: “Your Dreams, Our Goals.” The initiatives that make up the bulk of their platform, which is organized by the acronym R.E.D., standing for rights, experience, and dollars, consist of many new ideas not yet seen at the University of South Florida. Whether it be designing a system that will allow any student to create or sign a petition to effect changes on campus or fighting for the students' dollars in Tallahassee, Lockwood & Agosto have big plans for the university. The candidates will also use their previous experience in Student Government to continue to push for initiatives that have already received support from the student body.

Lockwood and Agosto want the years as a student to be the most memorable, and will ensure that the students are the focus and guiding force of on-campus activities. They are committed to keeping the education received at the University of South Florida a fiscally viable option for all of its students, and they will fight against tuition and fee increases as well as proactively defend the university’s state funding in Tallahassee.

Voting concludes at 8PM on February 28th. Get out to the polls and vote Lockwood/Agosto for Student Body President and Vice President!
