“DTS products have been used in most every kind of human injury related testing imaginable, including blast-induced traumatic brain injury (TBI),” said Steve Pruitt, president and co-founder of DTS.

The new SLICE PRO data acquisition system from Diversified Technical Systems, Inc. (DTS) is the latest evolution in small, high-speed, high-shock data recorders used for safety testing. It is 10x faster and 35% smaller than any comparable crash test data acquisition system (DAS).
SLICE PRO is a complete standalone DAS with controller, filters, transducer excitation, gain amplifiers and 16-bit ADC. It’s the world’s smallest, rugged system capable of recording one million data points per second per channel. Designed for test applications measuring parameters such as force, acceleration, strain, displacement and temperature, SLICE PRO offers unparalleled performance in even the most extreme environments.
For over 22 years, DTS has been known as a leader in manufacturing data recorders and sensors used for very specialized testing such as automotive crash testing, military blast testing, and tests involving crash test dummies. Most of the test labs or OEM customers that rely on DTS systems are doing critical testing, the kind of testing that often has only one chance to get it right. “DTS products have been used in most every kind of human injury related testing imaginable, including blast-induced traumatic brain injury (TBI),” said Steve Pruitt, president and co-founder of DTS.
The modular hardware system expands from 9 channels to hundreds, depending upon test requirements. SLICE PRO supports a variety of sensor types including bridge (MEMS, strain, load), IEPE and voltage. Data writes directly to 16 GB flash memory and is downloaded directly to a PC after the event for viewing, post-processing and analysis.
SLICE PRO is calibrated and meets NHTSA, FAA, ISO 6487 and SAE J211 practices. For detailed specifications, please visit http://www.dtsweb.com or contact sales(at)dtsweb(dot)com.
About DTS: Founded in 1991, Diversified Technical Systems manufactures data recorders and sensors that are used worldwide in crash, blast and biomechanics testing performed by top automakers, aerospace, the military and leading research facilities. A DTS helmet smart-sensor that records head forces in an effort to improve soldier safety and reduce traumatic brain injuries was named by the U.S. Army as one of “The Greatest Inventions.” DTS was also recognized twice by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest-growing private U.S. companies. Based in Seal Beach, California, DTS has technical centers in Michigan, Australia, Germany & Japan.
