“This new safety center is a first for the region and will serve as a resource for parents and caregivers to get the education they need in a hands-on environment,” said Kim Overby, Director of Sanford Women’s and Children’s Community Programs. “Being able to purchase items dedicated to children’s safety and to see exactly how those items work before taking them home is invaluable for families and children.”
The Safety Center is funded by Sanford Children’s CHILD Services as well as funding through the Kohl’s Cares Grant. The Safety Store will also continue to focus on car seat safety with education sessions as well as the Safe Sleep Initiative, a recent partnership announced with the state of South Dakota.
