This workflow feature enables users to effortlessly track a contract through its lifecycle and to audit the entire contract portfolio for renewals, business associate agreements and other common queries.

Today Vendormate announced the addition of approval workflow to its online Contract Manager tool, creating an easier-to-use, complete process management tool and a paperless way to gather, exchange, archive and track approval on contracts and contract-related documents. Contract Manager is just one of the solutions in the Vendormate tool-suite designed to simplify the end-to-end procurement cycle for hospitals.

Contract Manager’s new approval workflow functionality enables users to streamline their internal approval process with system-generated email notifications and real-time visibility into a document’s status through each step of the contracting process. In addition to reducing paper trails, Contract Manager offers a secure online environment for buyers to exchange sensitive information ‒ including contract term revisions, business associate agreements (BAAs), diversity certifications, etc. ‒ within their healthcare organization or with their vendor. This functionality is ideal for hospitals to rework their vendor contracts and BAAs to comply with the new HITECH Act requirements for September 2013.

Vendormate CEO Andy Monin said, “Hospitals have already realized the value of our Contract Manager tool ‒ it moves paperwork from physical cabinets in multiple locations into a single searchable database, with all contacts and associated documents attached to each contract record.” He continued, “This workflow feature enables users to effortlessly track a contract through its lifecycle and to audit the entire contract portfolio for renewals, business associate agreements and other common queries.”

Contract Manger is fully integrated with Vendormate’s suite of software-as-a-service (SaaS) healthcare solutions, including Credential Manager, used by 1,800+ healthcare providers to ensure vendors accessing their facilities are compliant with industry standards and corporate policies. This integration offers Vendormate’s hospital customers the added benefit of knowing whether those they contract with are valid businesses, free from sanctions and are financially sound in Credential Manager.

Contract Manager also compliments Medzo™, an online tool healthcare providers use to find innovation from over 65,000 qualified vendors for various products and services as they enrich their RFI/RFP processes. Vendormate applications share data across a single platform and provide interoperability, creating time and cost savings for both healthcare providers and vendors.
