U.S. Sunlight Solar Attic Fans have been praised for the quality construction, effectiveness and innovation. The release of the innovative Solar Controller occurred in 2011, taking the solar ventilation industry by storm. At the 2011 National Hardware Show, the U.S. Sunlight Solar Attic Fans with the Solar Controller received “Best of Show.” December of 2011, BUILDERnews deemed the Solar Attic Fans with the Solar Controller the year’s “Best Sustainable Product.” With the tremendous success of the Solar Controller and continued brand recognition of the U.S. Sunlight Solar Attic Fans, Green Builder editors’ confidently declare the Solar Controller and the U.S. Sunlight Solar Attic Fan a "Hot 50 Product" on Page 16 of February's Green Builder magazine.
Two years after its release, the Solar Controller has taken solar ventilation to the next level. The Solar Controller allows a U.S. Sunlight solar attic fan to operate intermittently on AC power when solar power is no longer available in the evenings. Additionally, via the convenient hand-held remote, the Solar Controller allows the homeowner to monitor the fan’s operating status, the attic temperature and the attic humidity. Additionally, the Solar Controller has permitted U.S. Sunlight solar ventilation products to be tested as a viable option to positively effect a home’s HERS rating (Home Energy Rating System).
President of U.S. Sunlight Corp, Robert Buckley, states, “We are pleased to participate in the green movement as we strive to improve the energy efficiency of residential and commercial buildings. Here at U.S. Sunlight we design and manufacture each product for maximum efficiency, product life and innovation. We aim to provide products that allow homeowners to make incremental changes in their energy consumption without breaking the bank. After the 30% federal tax credit and many local rebates, along with the energy savings, the solar attic fan typically pays for itself in just over 1 year.”
