America is in the midst of an epidemic. Since 1980, obesity rates have doubled among adults. Over 60 million adults, (30% of the adult population), are now obese. Over the past three decades, childhood obesity rates in America have tripled as well, and the problem isn't going anywhere.

The Get Healthy Summit launches on March 5th with over 25 free Natural Health interviews.

The goal? To help over 500,000 people to lose weight and get healthy.

Among the speakers are noted Food Philosophers, Naturopathic Doctors, Raw Food Experts, Authors, and Holistic Health Practitioners. Topics will include weight loss, natural healing, raw foods, vegetarianism, and more.

The Get Healthy Summit is the brainchild of college friends Erik Stafford and Theo Baskind.

Erik and Theo had been friends for almost twenty years, but only recently came closer together over a shared concern: their health.

"Getting older hasn't been easy," said Theo. "I started packing on the pounds, and realized I was tired all the time. When Erik told me he had been diagnosed as a diabetic, it was a real shock that led to a bunch of really personal conversations."

These discussions led to a shared interest in natural health, and eventually mutually-supported weight loss. Both Erik and Theo have lost more than 45 pounds now, and also erased numerous medications.

"We're both really excited about the changes we've made in our lives," said Erik. "We can't stop telling everyone we meet how great we feel... But we also realize this is just the beginning for us."

The Get Healthy Summit kicks off Tuesday, March 5th, but you don’t have to wait until then to get started.
