- In August – RV manufacturers shipped 24,460 units. An increase in units shipped in comparison to 2011.
- In 2012 as a whole – Units shipped were expected to reach 273,600. This represents an increase of 8.4% in comparison to 2011.
- RVIA theorized that the increase in the number of shipped units could be due to several factors: growth in the economy, increased availability of credit for purchase, and positive consumer response to new designs and features from innovative RV manufacturers.
