These VIA embedded computers are flexible and durable enough for use in even the most demanding industrial applications
(PRWEB UK) 1 March 2013
Steatite Embedded has announced the inclusion of the smallest ARM-based system from VIA, the ARMTiGO A800, to its range of industrial computing platforms.
Available as part of Steatite Embedded’s expanding range, the introduction of the VIA ARMTiGO A800 offers customers an ultra slim, fanless computer system with long term support. Powered by a Freescale Cortex-A8 single core i.MX537, the ARMTiGO A800 sports a Pico-ITX motherboard, which supports Windows, Android and Ubuntu Linux.
Continuing its investment in high performance industrial computing platforms, Steatite Embedded’s range of VIA industrial embedded systems also includes the ARTiGO A1250 quad core computer and the fanless, ultra compact and rugged ARMOS 800.
The slim form factor ARTiGO A1250 provides 3D/2D graphics support through DirectX 11 and offers hardware H.264 acceleration. An HDMI port and its VIA VX11H media system processor make it ideal for multimedia applications.
The ARMOS 800 also has a low profile design and is powered by a Freescale Cortex-A8 single-core i.MX537 processor. The Pico-ITX board supports 4GB onboard eMMC Flash memory and comes with an optional wireless module. Connectivity includes HDMI, VGA, and a micro SD card slot.
Matt Brindle, business development manager at Steatite Embedded, comments: “Not only are they compact, but with powerful processors on board, these VIA embedded computers are flexible and durable enough for use in even the most demanding industrial applications.”
