Latest ABC audited figures show the site is now attracting almost 1.6 million monthly unique visitors – a massive 66% up on traffic at the 2011 audit.
Tracey Jennings, ePHOTOzine managing director, said: "We are absolutely delighted with this news. Thirteen years ago we dreamed of one day reaching the 'magic million mark' and we have now far surpassed it with 1,595,115 unique browsers a month – that’ a daily average of 62,276. Additionally, the site has also seen a 44% increase in monthly unique impressions, which are up by almost 2 million, from 5,828,881 to 7,808,880.”
“And these amazing numbers have been achieved at a time when nearly all paper-based photographic magazine ABCs are in decline . It’s a real testament to the hard work of the ePHOTOzine team and the committed engagement of the photo-community."
She added: “These figures (http://www.abc.org.uk/certificates/18683390.pdf) provide indisputable evidence of our success and progressive growth. ABC audits underline the complete confidence our clients and members can have in our site. Anyone who would like to reach out to our 1.6 million photographers shouldn’t delay; contact advertising(at)ephotozine(dot)com to hear about the ABC-celebratory special offers we have running right now.”
Peter Bargh, founder and editorial director at the award-winning company said: “2012 was a phenomenal year for ePHOTOzine. We strengthened the editorial team and focused on bigger and better reviews. And while many websites concentrate on camera reviews, we test and rate everything from accessories such as remote releases to high end pro DSLRs. Visitors come to us for unbiased advice on all things photographic. We also increased our Photo Month activity with a new technique or tutorial added every single day of the year. We made some big changes to the gallery by adding a new photo versus mode. It's these changes, along with a constantly developing site framework, that all contribute in helping the site grow significantly in what's been a challenging time for the photographic market.”
A spokesman for ABC (Audit Bureau of Circulations) said: “ABC provides a stamp of trust for the media industry and an ABC audit demonstrates best practice principles. By committing to having its site traffic figures independently verified to industry agreed standards ePHOTOzine is delivering transparency for its advertisers.”
