As more family offices start, others merge for scale. As we continue through this stage of flux, one should consider senior management's ability to manage through periods of mergers and re-organizations, besides product offerings.
New York, NY (PRWEB) March 05, 2013
According to Mr. Prostano, “The family office industry is highly fragmented with less than 5% of ultra high net worths being serviced by the top 20 providers and wirehouses. There is a diversity of services being offered to Ultra High Net Worths from these providers that continue to become more robust with a diverse approach towards charging for such services.“
Moreover, “The operational aspects of running these family offices are complex with increasing regulatory aspects. To cover complexity and increasingly diverse product offerings, a state of the art platform is required. And as more family offices come into being, others merge for scale. As the industry continues through this stage of flux, one should consider the capabilities of the senior management to manage their way through periods of mergers and re-organizations into new platforms besides the product offerings of the firm.”
Other speakers on the panel included Thomas Watts of Watts Capital and Ron Sylvestri of Quail Ridge Asset Management.
