Arras, France (PRWEB) March 01, 2013
Oldham (an Industrial Scientific company) today announced the launch of the OLCT 80 wireless field detector and transmitter for monitoring of oxygen and combustible, toxic and refrigerant gases in remote locations.
The new model reduces installation costs by eliminating cabling and wiring. Up to 49 of the devices, each of which has three built-in relays and a maximum line-of-sight range of three kilometers (1.86 miles), can be linked via a secure network to monitor large remote areas, including ATEX 1 zones, where wired systems would be difficult to install.
Other features and benefits of the OLCT 80 wireless include:
“The OLCT 80 wireless is ideal for transmitting signal data in a wide range of industrial applications,” said Michel Spellemaeker, Oldham’s global director of product management. “It eliminates the cost of point-to-point wiring for a single device or a network of devices while providing reliable gas detection expected from an Oldham product.”
