Buffalo, New York (PRWEB) March 01, 2013
Sovran Self Storage announced today that the Amherst-based Company has assumed management of the former Storage Central located in the electric district of downtown Buffalo. The self storage facility, located at 290 Ellicott St., Buffalo, NY 14203, will be rebranded as Uncle Bob’s Self Storage and marks the 11th Buffalo-area location for the company.
“Uncle Bob’s is excited about moving downtown and being part of the revitalization of our city,” said Paul Powell, Executive Vice President of Real Estate Investment. “This property fills an important niche in the downtown community by providing inexpensive storage solutions for the growing number of residents and businesses.”
The historic 3-story concrete and steel warehouse was bought and repurposed by developer Roger Trettel in 2010. It is ideally situated in the central business district, midway between the waterfront and the medical campus, and near numerous new loft residential developments. The newly renovated storage building is designed to meet the needs of downtown Buffalo. It features climate controlled storage units, 24 hour video surveillance and an enclosed loading dock for convenient access.
