It’s refreshing to hear a group as upbeat and lively as Time Will Tell, as this New Jersey-based punk and alternative rock band rocked the charts of BEAT100 this past month while showcasing their premiere music video of original track ‘The Only Nights That Matter’. The band ranked fourth on the Original Music Video Chart in February, received a Gold Song, Gold Video, and Gold Favourite Award, as well as the BEAT100 ‘Ultimate Musician Award’, given by the BEAT100 A&R Team to the most outstanding musicians on the social network. Their recognition is well deserved, as the band features six members with a true talent for songwriting, musicianship, and performance that’s reflected in their every recording.
With a sound resembling Taking Back Sunday, Jimmy Eat World, and Blink 182, Time Will Tell features band leader Christopher Minor on vocals and keys, as well as Chris Rivers (keys and vocals), Bob Alcavage (guitar), Mike Larned (guitar and vocals), Mike Tizzano (drums), and Christian Fernandez (bass and vocals). The group formed during the summer of 2010 when Christopher and Mike met online, established their vision for the band, and recruited the other members. Three years following their foundation, Time Will Tell has already achieved outstanding success in just a short period. Following performances at the Vans Warped Tour, the Bamboozle Festival, and an extensive line-up of shows throughout New Jersey and the US, the band recorded their first EP ‘Reflections’ with Rob Freeman in mid-2012 while capturing audiences’ attention and growing their fan base extensively.
The EP ‘Reflections’ is available on iTunes and is definitely worth a purchase, as each song provides catchy lyrics, melodic harmonies, uplifting solo guitar licks accompanied by powerful rhythmic riffs, punchy bass lines, and head-banging drumbeats. The album takes listeners from a heavy punk-rock feel in ‘Fall Back’ to a melodic and emotional vibe in ‘The One’ and ‘I Gave Her My Heart and She Gave Me a Pen’. ‘Reflections’ provides listeners everything they desire from the ideal punk and alternative rock album and leaves fans anxiously awaiting future releases. Luckily, Time Will Tell is currently hard at work on their first full-length album is planning an extensive summer tour for 2013, featuring a number of performances at large outdoor festivals and providing fans plenty of opportunities to attend one of the band’s highly energetic live performance.
Following the release of their EP, Time Will Tell created their first music video featuring the EP’s first track, The Only Nights That Matter’. The song was written after Christopher met with some old friends from school, leading to the song’s reflection of the past and reminder to listeners of good memories with true friends. Despite a low budget, the video was highly recognized by BEAT100 fans due to its positive message and outstanding production quality. Since its post on the social network, BEAT100 fans have flocked to the band’s profile page.
“We love BEAT100 for the exposure it’s given us. We have made many new contacts through the site and feel it’s great for bands,” says Time Will Tell.
