Breakthroughs Martin Sheen PBS is an independently produced television series airing in markets around the country on public television. In-state tuition at a moderately priced public university averages about $22,000 for this year. Tuition for private universities is nearly doubled at $43,000 per year.

In this report, Breakthroughs will be talking to investment experts and financial aid experts about new ways that families can prepare for the expense of college educating their children. This new report will also be taking a look at scholarships and college loan programs that can also help to alleviate some of the burden.
