Finding Lean Success Across Distributed Environments

WHAT: Ci&T, a Nearshore provider of value-driven web and mobile application services, today announced that Leonardo Mattiazzi, vice president of international business, will be speaking at Agile Dev Practices 2013 on March 4-7 in Potsdam, Germany. Mattiazzi will discuss “Finding Lean Success Across Distributed Environments.”

With development becoming global in scale and teams dispersed across more geographies and time zones than ever before, many companies are struggling to leverage Lean philosophies in this distributed environment. It is possible to derive value from Lean use over long distances and multiple locations, if potential roadblocks are understood and best practices are successfully implemented.

Mattiazzi will discuss common roadblocks that stand in the way of Lean adoption across distributed geographies and teams, and tactics for overcoming them. The presentation will also include real-world success stories of how combining the use of high-performance teams, with their shared vision and purpose, and a Lean frame of mind contributed to overcoming geographical issues and realizing value in Lean development.

WHO: With Ci&T since 1997, Mattiazzi has spearheaded several of the company’s critical business units, including professional services, sales, marketing and software products. Mattiazzi has been an active proponent and driver of the Ci&T’s transformation into a Lean organization. He has become a prominent industry thought leader on the topic of Lean as both an application development principle and a cultural organizational tenet. He has helped to facilitate and grow the company’s emphasis on high-performance teams, whose talent, shared purpose and commitment to skills mastery promote continuous innovation and generate high-quality results for Ci&T’s clients. Mattiazzi holds a bachelor’s degree from UNICAMP and a master of business administration from Temple University’s Fox Business School.
