Southeastern Community College Partners with Scientific Management Techniques and Roquette America to Deploy New “Manufacturing Skills Program”

Unique programs improve manufacturing employment and performance by delivering the skills required to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a modern manufacturing facility.

Southeastern Community College (SCC), serving four counties in eastern Iowa, has partnered with industrial skill solutions provider Scientific Management Techniques (SMT) and Roquette America to establish training programs for prospective employees, creating potential new career opportunities focused in the industrial manufacturing area.

Karen E. Klein, at Bloomberg news service, reported on a recent survey of 1,600 manufacturing companies in the U.S. It showed that nearly half the respondents have openings for line workers, skilled trade workers, and engineers, but many have trouble filling the positions.

SMT’s hands-on industrial skills curriculum teaches and trains the critical skill sets required to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a modern manufacturing facility.
