According to Expatica, a new study has found that British expats who move abroad are financially more secure and better off. Results found that around one third of those who had moved abroad did so for work, with 68 percent earning more overseas than in the UK and 79 percent feeling better off financially.
The findings seem to be an indication of recession hit Britain and reflect the benefits of moving overseas, something that more and more Brit’s seem to be considering.
Although a little worrying for UK employers it is great news for the moving company, Interdean. Interdean has been helping people move abroad for over fifty years bringing services such as shipping, air freight, storage and excess baggage solutions. The company has noticed a correlation between the recession and Brits heading abroad in search for better jobs, high salaries and improved quality of life.
A representative added, ‘The findings confirm something that we already expected – those who decide to move abroad earn more money and are taxed less than in the UK. With the UK economy struggling it is no wonder many choose to head overseas.’
Interdean continues to comment on expat based news from around the world.
