BoothsandOvens.com Reports Strong Powder Coating Equipment Sales at Beginning of 2013

BoothsandOvens.com, an online sales outlet for powder coating booths, curing ovens, and related equipment built by Reliant Finishing Systems, reports that the site’s sales income for January exceeded projections. This was largely due to a higher-than-expected level of confidence shown by new industrial clients.

BoothsandOvens.Com Reports Brisk Sales

Last week alone, we had two substantial oven sales where the customer contacted us one day and sent a deposit the next.

Sales of powder coating ovens, powder spray enclosures and similar equipment have started out strong in 2013, according to veteran equipment specialist Franklin Slaton of Allied Finishing Solutions, Inc. The company operates the website BoothsandOvens.com, which features an exhaustive online catalog of finishing equipment. Slaton cites a handful of factors, including a renewed sense of confidence from potential customers, as helping boost sales for January and early February.

“Sales always build from about Labor Day through the fall, peaking right before the end of the year. After a flurry of year-end sales, things normally taper off,” Slaton explained. “Just the opposite has happened this year, with the pace in the first three weeks of January picking up substantially. I don’t know if it’s pent-up demand now that the economy is improving or perhaps people got past a psychological barrier when the government avoided the fiscal cliff, but whatever the reason, we’ve seen a better start to this year over last. January’s income significantly beat projections made in 2012.”

“The other thing we’ve seen is that customers are making decisions more quickly,” he observed. “Last week alone, we had two substantial oven sales where the customer contacted us one day and sent a deposit the next.”

Slaton attributed part of the fast-track nature of recent sales to the company’s web site, BoothsandOvens.com. “We try to put as much information as possible on the web site, so that customers can get a lot of their questions answered up front,” he said. “That includes pricing on hundreds of industrial ovens and powder spray enclosures, as well as detailed descriptions of the Wagner powder guns and other support equipment the company sells.”

Also helping shorten the process is the large installed base of coating equipment from Reliant Finishing Systems (http://www.reliantfinishingsystems.com). “If a customer wants it, we can provide an extensive list of references, often within driving distance of them, anywhere in the country,” Slaton commented. “It usually just takes a few phone calls to affirm that they are making the right choice with Reliant equipment.”

Michael Schuerer, President of Reliant Finishing Systems, confirmed that the company’s client list has increased significantly in the past two years. “We have hundreds of systems installed across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. At the beginning of 2010 we made several upgrades to our basic powder coating systems, and have delivered about 400 of the upgraded products so far. It is easy for visitors to BoothsandOvens.com to feel comfortable about buying Reliant’s products because they can talk to companies in their area that are already enjoying success with our equipment,” he said.

Allied Finishing Solutions is based in Decatur, Alabama, and features equipment manufactured in nearby Somerville, Alabama by Reliant Finishing Systems.
