The National Association of Appraisal Management Companies(NAAMC) is thrilled to announce that it is currently welcoming additional appraisers to its respected member panel. Belonging to NAAMC provides all members with the opportunity to be heard in the industry.
As the first trade association dedicated to bridging the gap between appraisers, appraisal management companies, and lenders, NAAMC is looking to expand their member panel to include more appraisers. Chairwoman of the Public Relations and Communications Committee, Danielle Gatsos stated, “In today's trying real estate market, NAAMC believes in the importance of providing all three sectors [appraisers, appraisal management companies, and lenders] with the opportunity to voice both their concerns about industry changes as well as ideas on how the integrity of the appraisal process can be maintained, while establishing an efficient and enjoyable work environment for everyone. We believe that education is crucial, and we want to know what you [appraisers] have to say.”
NAAMC is now offering membership to appraisers for a low fee of $100 per year. Appraisers joining the NAAMC member panel will receive exclusive benefits such as guaranteed representation at membership meetings and a voice in NAAMC's governmental affairs, in addition to admission to community operations and crowdsourcing opportunities. Members are also able to enjoy valuable resources such as free access to NAAMC's industry and regulatory updates, a free subscription to NAAMC's Quarterly E-Newsletter, and meeting notices and news on educational opportunities. Appraiser members will also receive a complete updated directory of NAAMC Appraisal Management Companies (AMCs) and access to the main controlling contacts within those AMCs.
Aside from those tangible benefits listed above, appraisers who choose to join NAAMC’s member panel are investing in the chance to contribute thoughts, ideas and questions throughout the mortgage community via social networks, guest articles in the newsletter and blog, annual meetings, and more. “The opportunities to get involved with and promote causes that affect you – customary and reasonable fees, state registrations, etc. – are endless,” said Ms. Gatsos. “If you’re looking to find networking opportunities with a diverse range of professionals including other independent appraisers, AMCs, lenders, and other vendors interested in AMC regulation, you should really consider joining the organization.
