5 Years of Echo-Factory

We’d like to think that it’s more than a coincidence that the clients who signed on with us back in those early years and are still with us today have, without exception, outpaced us with their growth.

Echo-Factory, a Rancho-Cucamonga based advertising agency, certainly has reason to celebrate. This week marks the five year anniversary of the day that agency principals Dea Goldsmith and Mike Schaffer first opened the doors of their agency.

Despite the reality of an economic recession in 2008, Dea Goldsmith made the decision to leave her long-held position as a creative director at a regional agency in order to start her own advertising agency with Mike Schaffer. Mike took an equally large risk; deciding to pivot his successful photography studio into an ad agency.

Five years ago, Goldsmith and Schaffer set out with a plan to create advertising the way they had always wanted to. They shared a passion for good, creatively driven work both for themselves, and for the clients. It is this approach that has allowed Echo-Factory to grow into the agency it is today.

The agency’s attitude speaks volumes to their success; consistently reflecting their client’s enthusiasm for a product with their own passion for strategy, planning and creative work.

Schaffer put it simply, “Over the last 5 years, we’ve grown. And we’d like to think that it’s more than a coincidence that the clients who signed on with us back in those early years and are still with us today have, without exception, outpaced us with their growth.”

After over 3,500 projects, Echo-Factory has evolved into a respected and recognized agency. Their portfolio represents clients in a wide range of industries, from action sports to energy efficiency, from outdoor furniture to physicians, and from plumbing to beer.

For the Echo-Factory team, clients have always come first. The agency strives to create advertising campaigns that are effective as well as creative, and their method has proven to be a successful one. Goldsmith explained, “Even after five years I still wake every morning with a sense of urgency and excitement. I am so fortunate to get to be a part of something that helps clients reach their goals. I feel lucky to get to work with an amazing group of passionate clients.”

As for what lies ahead for the agency, Mike Schaffer, Echo-Factory Principal, explained, “Being a smaller shop really allows all of the members of the team to be involved in each project, and that’s important. We’re not looking to grow into a hundred-person agency. We just want to continue to do great work for our clients and ourselves.”
