Travel Dynamics International is offering four golf cruises along North America's most beautiful waterways: the Great Lakes; Coastal New England & Canada's Maritime Provinces; and the Atlantic’s historic Southern seaway. Almost daily, golfers will have the opportunity to choose between a shore excursion or a round of golf at some of the most established and challenging courses in North America.

Each cruise will be accompanied by professional golf instructors who will join passengers onboard Yorktown and on the green to discuss the game, provide tips, and share stories from the field. These leaders will offer invaluable and personalized feedback on how golfers might improve their swing, long drive, and overall score.

“There is nothing better than a special golf cruise to help golfers reach hard-to-access courses, while removing the daily hassles of packing, unpacking and changing hotels”, says Declan O’Brien, CEO of Destinations Golf & Leisure. “Each course has been hand-picked with attention to detail that only Travel Dynamics can provide. This is truly ‘Low Country Golf’ at its finest.”

The four itineraries, ranging 7 – 12 days in length, will visit a total of 22 golf courses. Itineraries include: Golf Cruise from Virginia to Georgia: The Renowned Courses of the Mid-Atlantic South, sailing from Richmond to Savannah, May 25 – June 4; Golf Cruise on the Great Lakes: Discovering a North American Treasure, sailing from Chicago to Toronto, July 22 – 29; Golf Cruise in Canada’s Maritime Provinces & New England, sailing from Quebec City to Gloucester, September 6 – 18; Golf Cruise in the Antebellum South & Georgia’s Golden Isles, sailing from Charleston to Jacksonville, November 14 – 21.

Highlighted course include:

  • Beau Rivage Golf Club - Widely known to have the best greens in North Carolina
  • Magnolia Grove Golf Club - A Golf World Magazine top 50 course and a spectacular
Robert Trent Jones layout
  • Secession Golf Club - One of the best links layouts in the U.S. and one of the most traditional
  • Sea Island Golf Club – One of the premiere golf resorts in the U.S., with majestic ocean views and a challenging links course
  • Cabot Links Golf Club - Canada’s most authentic links course, golf at it was meant to be played

Aboard Yorktown for all four cruises is Master Teaching Professional Rich Howard. With over 12 years of golf instruction experience with both PGA TOUR and LPGA players, Rick possesses a profound understanding of the game. His simple, yet effective, teaching philosophy has improved the golf games of thousands of golfers throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe.

“What other cruise line takes you to where the PGA TOUR host’s three regular events and two Ryder Cups?” says Rick Howard. “We’ve secured tee-times at some of the best courses in North America. There’s a reason 30 PGA Pro’s live on Sea Island, and it all has to do with golf. There are 3 ways to play this one course: be a member, be a guest of a member, or travel with Travel Dynamics”.

For non-golfers, cruises offer excursions to natural wonders such as Perce Rock and Niagara Falls, as well as historical and cultural sites including Savannah's Historic District and the Acadian village of Caraquet, New Brunswick. Each voyage is accompanied by select scholars and experts, who will provide insight into the history, culture, and natural world of the places we visit through onboard lectures and informal discussion.

Guests will cruise aboard 130-guest, American-flagged and-operated Yorktown. With 65 exterior cabins, a large sundeck, comfortable lounge, and spacious dining room, Yorktown is the ideal vessel for cruising North America’s waterways.
