It is wonderful news to hear that I am nominated again this year to the SuperDoctors® list.
Beverly Hills, CA (PRWEB) March 05, 2013
Melvin H. Nutig M.D., a Beverly Hills orthopedic surgeon, has been nominated as one of Southern California’s SuperDoctors® for the second year in a row. The SuperDoctors® designation represents an honor made all the more meaningful as it signifies the reputation among and opinions of other highly qualified surgeons, doctors, and medical professionals.
To be a SuperDoctors® nominee is an honor very few physicians receive. This year Dr. Nutig may join the list of colleagues who are recognized as a leader within their field – an honor that comes based on commendations by his work in the medical and surgical community.
“It is wonderful news to hear that I am nominated again this year to the SuperDoctors® list,” says Dr. Nutig. “If I am selected this year it will signify that my colleagues believe I am doing something right when it comes to impacting the lives of my patients and contributing to the medical community.”
The SuperDoctors® selection process involves a rigorous multi-step process designed to identify physicians who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. To become a nominee, a research staff selects candidates based on what is deemed “Star Search Credentials” and include: years of experience, hospital appointments, fellowships, professional activities, leadership positions, board certifications, publications/lectures, honors and awards as well as other outstanding achievements.
For the second consecutive year, Dr. Nutig has been nominated for this honor based on his credentials, honors and professional achievements.
As a fellowship trained, internationally recognized and board-certified orthopedic surgeon with extensive expertise in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine, Dr. Melvin Nutig specializes in shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee surgery. Additionally, he is an early champion of telemedicine, the use of modern communication technology for the delivery of medical care where it might otherwise not be available. During his career, Dr. Nutig has shared his expertise as a team physician at the United States Olympic Training Centers and Los Angeles City College football team.
Dr. Nutig specializes in sports medicine and has a orthopedic practice in Beverly Hills, California. He earned his medical degree from the University of Bologna in Italy. After completing residencies in general surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital and orthopedic surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine both in New York, he completed a fellowship in joint replacement surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Dr. Nutig’s private practice specializes primarily in injuries of the shoulder, elbow, hip and knee. He performs outpatient surgical procedures at La Peer Health Systems.
