When seven year-old darlings, Bianca and Chiara D’Ambrosio began filming the music video for their debut single, “Let Your Light Shine” last fall, their mission was simple: spread a message of acceptance and increase awareness about the alarming bullying epidemic impacting communities worldwide. Officially released in conjunction with Global Bullying Prevention Day (12/12/12), the “Let Your Light Shine” music “went viral” accumulating 1 million YouTube views in less than 72 hours! To date, nearly 1.5 million views have been logged for the video. Widely recognized as the “new Olsen twins,” Bianca and Chiara serve as heroic guides for schoolmates who are victims of bullying -- our shared world is changed for the better once we all let our lights shine. A portion of all proceeds benefit the Seth Walsh Foundation (http://www.sethwalsh.org).
In a year with a record-setting number of submissions, The Board of Directors and Trustees of the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation selected the “Let Your Light Shine” music video to be honored as Outstanding Viral Video. “Let Your Light Shine” was selected because it “displayed superior quality in writing, production and programming.” Bianca and Chiara D’Ambrosio will accept their Gracie statue at the Gracie Awards Luncheon being held in NYC.
