The lifetime fellowship award has been given to Sophie Fletcher for her work at The National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH). As part of the NCH executive, Ms Fletcher worked with members to establish which direction the NCH should be heading amidst changes in regulation and the introduction of the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).

With the help of branding consultants, Ms Fletcher updated and changed NCH’s website and printed literature to encapsulate the organisations beliefs, standards and personality.

Furthermore, Ms Fletcher set about revising the group of specialist advisors to not only share knowledge and understanding with members, but to provide rapid expert advice for media enquiries relating to hypnotherapy.

The administrative service was upgraded to allow all day phone coverage for members if they require help, or any questions answered. Online resources were also updated to help the website provide a member’s only forum and further additional content added to aid people searching for information on hypnotherapy.

Alongside this, Ms Fletcher’s own business venture, Mindful Mamma, has gone from strength to strength, with over 1,000 couples benefiting from her practical approach to hypnosis and birth, which will soon be documented in her book ‘Mindful Mamma Hypnobirthing Book.’

After implementing such radical and positive change, Ms Fletcher has stepped down from executive after being awarded the highly coveted Lifetime Fellowship Award.

The National Council for Hypnotherapy would like to take the opportunity to thank Ms Fletcher for her hard work, commitment and dedication.

Paul White, Chairman for the NCH, said, “Everyone on the executive will miss Sophie’s passion and drive. She always worked hard and gave her all to any task she undertook and saw it through to the end. She will be greatly missed. We wish her all the best in the future and we all look forward to the release of her book.”
