Investors bought Sumo Lounge and are planning on growing the brand into numerous industries and have big future plans of growth. With an amazing creation story, Sumo Lounge has risen above and become one of the top bean bag brands, and has even been featured in Forbes.

The creator of Sumo Lounge, Andrew Milligan created Sumo Lounge out of nothing. At the beginning, he tirelessly searched through a list of Alexa’s top 10,000 websites and found the right people to send beanbags to. His quasi guerilla-marketing ploy worked and sales tripled month-to-month in 2006. Sumo Lounge finished the year at 800% growth.

In 2007 he expanded to the UK and 2008 into the US, Australia and New Zealand, and now has fourteen factories in seven countries. Sumo Lounge succeeded through Milligan’s marketing efforts.

Mr. Milligan is quite confident that the new owners will continue with the framework of hard work and ethics above all.

He has stayed on for the last few months to ensure a smooth transition. Because of this, Milligan is confident that operations will continue as normal. In the next few weeks, the new websites created by the new owners will begin to transition into new formats and the brand will be much more powerful and dynamic.

They already have started to plan to make many improvements in operations including customer service upgrades and additional services.

Mr. Milligan plans to move to USA next year, and will be taking a sabbatical and traveling around the world while remaining a consultant for the Sumo Brand.
